Beau B. Brindley

Beau Brindley has devoted his life to criminal defense.  After graduating at the top of his class at the University of Iowa, he worked on death penalty cases for the NAACP’s Legal Defense and Education Fund.  From there, he moved to Chicago where he would take up a criminal defense practice that has spanned the last two decades and saved his clients hundreds of years in prison.  

In 2006, Mr. Brindley was the youngest criminal defense attorney to achieve an acquittal in federal Court in Chicago.   From there, he has won a string of remarkable victories in federal criminal trials, which make his record when fighting the federal government unmatched.  Brindley has won criminal trials in federal courts across the United States. 

Mr. Brindley has represented  and won victories on behalf of alleged murderers, drug traffickers, firearms dealers, politicians, doctors, and celebrities.  In specific, he represented the business manager for R & B icon, R. Kelly, in a massive federal criminal trial in Chicago.  At the end of the case, Mr. Brindley’s client was found not guilty on all counts.  After that success, he was hired by R. Kelly and represents him as he pursues his fight for freedom.   

Mr. Brindley’s successes are not limited to the trial courtroom.  He has also argued and won appeals in federal circuit courts across this country. He has argued in 10 of the 12 federal circuit courts of appeals in the United States.  He has even twice argued before the Supreme Court of the United States; and stands out as one of the only advocates in the nation to obtain a 9-0 ruling out of the Roberts Court.  In Ruan vs. United States, Brindley argued before the Supreme Court and won a massive victory on behalf of physicians charged with improperly prescribing opiates.  He continues to represent physicians across the country in their fight against unfair federal prosecution.  

As a result of his victories against the federal government, in 2014, Mr. Brindley was unjustly indicted  by a U.S. Attorney’s Office committed to ending his career.  He responded by fighting the charges, going to trial, testifying in his own defense, and earning full exoneration.  He knows how it feels to be unjustly charged and what it takes to fight and win both as a lawyer and a defendant.  This experience gives him a unique perspective that drives him to fight with an unmatched aggression when representing his clients.
